By now you have probably heard about the battle between iOS and Android over marker share and who will dominate the tech world with their tablets and smartphones. While iOS is a operating system exclusive to Apple, Android is available under an open-source license and is used by different manufactures and brands around the world. As of 2012, Android devices hold a much larger share of the market than Apple, but no individual brand has sold more than Apple which means iOS still prevails and holds the top spot.
Android is an operating system gives you a lot more functionality and freedom to change things as you like. Application are widely free or cheaper than those on the Apple App Store and these are only a few of the reasons why Android is becoming more popular. This doesn’t mean Android is better than iOS, but still, it is a very good competitor and perhaps in a short time may prove to be much more advanced and ahead of Apple’s technology. Even so, this rivalry is good as it makes both sides to be more creative and come up with new ideas.

So, what makes an Android Tablet so special?
Well, for one thing, there’s Android OS that makes it quite a big deal. If you love using this operating system on your smartphone then there is no reason not to use it on your tablet device as well. It is very responsive and clean. These tablets also come in a lot of different sizes so are free to choose what it is you want – a large screen for movies and games or perhaps a smaller screen for reading and browsing? If you are more interested on the later, a suiting tablet would be the good old Kindle Fire by Amazon. Right now they are working on an improved Kindle Fire 2 which may be called the Inferno and could easily rock the Android world. So it would be wise to wait till the winter season of 2012 if you are not in a hurry.
So what’s better, an iPad or a good Android Tablet? Well, to tell you the truth, if you can afford it, the iPad is still the best choice but those who can’t best stick to Android tablets as they are quite solid and perform well.

To upgrade from your phone just go to Settings on the General then Updates. Here we have to wait until the system finds available updates. If you have already found click Download and then wait until it is downloaded. If you have more than 50% battery it will automatically update the system, but if we do not have enough percentage of the battery a message about low battery will pop up. If you recharge it get in there and click Install. Now, since we already have downloaded the system, immediately proceed to the update. We are waiting about 10 minutes and we already have iOS5.1.1.
